Traditional log homes do not meet the current building codes for energy efficiency.  The average log home has an r value of 9. That is why Maine Structural Insulated panels have developed a high r value log home package that meets energy effciency standards with our R 26 wall package. R34 also available. Our log home packages are erected much faster then a traditional log home. Our log homes can be installed in as quickly as a few weeks. Most traditional log homes will take up to six months to get to the dry  in phase.
